St Emlyns is a virtual hospital based in Virchester.

In reality we are a team of Emergency Physicians interested in medical education, emergency medicine and critical care. We blog because education matters.

Dr. Rick Body MB ChB, MRCSEd(A&E), FCEM, PhD.  Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Honorary Lecturer in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Manchester.  Major research interests are in the early diagnosis of acute coronary syndromes and humane approaches to improving patient well-being in the ED.  Methodological expertise in clinical decision rules, diagnostic studies and cohort studies. @richardbody


Dr Natalie May Emergency Physician and sub speciality trainee in Paediatrics. Numerous interests in medical education, leadership and emergency paediatrics. (Ed – knows more than her consultants about lots of stuff). @_nmay


Dr Gareth Hardy. aka DrGdH. Emergency Medicine trainee with a long running and excellent blog. Thinks beyond the superficial and constantly questions the evidence for what we do.(Ed –  A great asset and probably the only person here who knows what he’s doing!)
